Roof Drainage System
The roof drainage system selection application was created in cooperation with Wavin Polska. It allows you to select a vacuum system for flat roof drainage.
For a given roof surface area, rainfall parameters and installation layout, the application allows you to select the number of inlets, list the number of pipes divided into diameters and the total amount of rainwater at the outlet from the installation. After selecting the number of inlets, you can obtain diagrams of the vacuum system layout for flat roof drainage.
After selecting, you can download drawings, catalog cards and declarations regarding the Wavin QuickStream vacuum flat roof drainage system.
The application is available in Poland.
Calculating drainage for flat roofs
To correctly select a vacuum system, you will need detailed information about the roof you are designing:
- roof dimensions,
- ridge layout,
- discharge directions (one-sided or two-sided),
- number of vacuum system inlet lines,
- roof covering type.
During the selection, you will be able to choose the preferred spacing of inlets, the material they are made of and decide whether you want it to be a heated variant.
This information will be needed for each roof surface that you will add to the calculations.
You will also need precipitation data.
You can choose from all popular precipitation models used in Poland, as well as manually connect the data. The default is the PANDa model – the most modern precipitation model, based on 30 years of output data, with a range of 5 x 5 km. Precipitation data for WaterFolder users is available free of charge for the application.
Calculation results
The application calculates the vacuum roof drainage system in accordance with the PN-EN 12056-3: 2002 standard for buildings with a height of 12 m.
Based on the information provided, the application presents:
- number of inlets,
- total amount of rainwater at the outlet from the installation.
The calculator will generate not only the result, but also a ready-made list of the number of pipes divided into diameters for individual roof surfaces.

Calculation results
Once you have made the correct selection, you can download the results as a PDF file and place them in your project.
Additionally, at any time you can directly contact the manufacturer of the solution to ask about the details of the selection, the accuracy of the calculations or request a quote for the solution.
