GRP Pipe Tank
Pipe tank sizing application was prepared together with Amiblu Poland Sp. z o.o., a producer and sup-plier of GRP pipe systems. This tool allows for a quick selection of an underground horizontal storm and melt water retention basin, using the data given by the user.
As a result, the user gets an illustra-tive design of the basin together with its parameters such as basin’s diameter, length and capacity.
All calculations connected with basin’s capacity are done in accordance with DWA-A117 guidelines (for catchment areas of ≤ 200 ha with sewage systems or systems with flow time of ≤ 30 min). The application makes work easier and reduces time needed to prepare necessary calculations when selecting the appropriate retention basin.
The application is available in Poland.
Calculating the capacity of a GRP pipe tank
The following information will be needed for the calculations:
- the length of the structure,
- the width of the structure,
- the height of the tank cover,
- the flow time through the channel [5-30 min],
- the permissible discharge limit.
In addition, the application he calculator allows automatic calculation of the reduced area [ha] using the configurator. This function will facilitate the calculation process and ensure the accuracy of the results.
GRP Pipe tank sizing calculation results
The application will provide the following results:
- minimum tank volume based on precipitation model,
- total tank inflow,
- total tank outflow.
The application will allow the user to manually set the maximum outer diameter (DE) and inner diameter (DI) for a list of selected tubular tanks. This feature will allow you to customize the results to your specific design preferences and requirements.
Calculation results
Once you have made the correct selection, you can download the results as a PDF file and place them in your project.
