Oil Separator
The Oil Separator application was developed in collaboration with HAURATON, a renowned European manufacturer of comprehensive stormwater management systems. This tool provides an intuitive solution for designers, enabling the selection of light liquid separators according to the PN-EN 858 standard in three simple steps.
The selection process is based on determining the separator’s location and the required hydraulic capacity (both nominal and maximum), which are established based on the catchment parameters entered by the user. Additionally, the application’s integration with PANDa data ensures reliable results, which is crucial for the effective design of stormwater management systems.
The application is available in Poland.
Selection of pre-treatment devices for rainwater
To select the right oil separator, you should provide:
- method for calculating the maximum rainwater flow rate – you can choose from the maximum intensity method, the limit intensity method and the constant intensity method,
- rainfall model – the suggested model is PANDa, but calculations can be performed using other available models: Bogdanowicz-Stachy, Suligowski, Błaszczyk,
- probability of rainfall or calculated rainfall frequency – probability range from 10 to 100% (frequency from 1 to 10 years),
- catchment area parameters – the area of partial catchments with runoff coefficients,
- place of installation of the separator – whether it will be installed at a fuel storage or distribution facility – (separators without a bypass are selected for such facilities),
- type of terrain – you can choose drive-on or non-drive-on,
- ordinates – of the designed area, bottom of the inlet pipe to separator, groundwater level,
- requirements for alarm device – oil derivatives exceedance sensor, sediment level exceedance sensor, fill level exceedance sensor.
Results of selecting oil separators
The application will provide the following results:
- parameters of the selected separator (capacity, capacity, dimensions, weight),
- calculated nominal and maximum flow,
- suggestions regarding the need to use a relief plate and anchor belts.
The calculator allows you to filter results based on bypass capacity and inlet/outlet diameter.
In addition, it is possible to download the obtained calculation result as a PDF file or a ZIP package, and then, in case of any questions, contact the manufacturer directly.
